The Bennet House is a store filled with thoughtfully handmade items. My goal is to make pieces that make everyday life a little more special. Be it seeing a banner draped across your fireplace celebrating a holiday season, or a bracelet that gives your outfit an extra sparkle, The Bennet House is a place that appreciates and illustrates your uniqueness.
So why is The Bennet House called The Bennet House? At a very young age, I fell in love with the world of Jane Austen, my favorite book of hers being Pride and Prejudice. I named the store after the beloved Bennet family and work to incorporate an aspect of the characters’ personalities and the story’s settings into my pieces.
Here’s a little bit about me. I grew up in the arts. From the age of three, I loved dancing and performing in musical theatre. In high school, I became part of the theatre tech team with my school’s drama club. That’s when I became hooked on making clothing, jewelry, and furniture pieces. I then went to university and majored in theatre, furthering this passion. Upon graduation, I became a freelance artist and traveled around the US working as a costumer and technician for different film and theatre productions. During this incredible journey, I fell in love with my wonderful husband and after getting married and settling down, decided to open The Bennet House.
So, here I am, working hard to expand The Bennet House to carry a variety of pieces as unique and beautiful as you. Thank you so much for supporting this shop! I am truly grateful.
